WORD RUSH
Your information

Privacy policy

WordRush is built around playing words, without an account, advertising, or third-party analytics in the app.

Effective date: September 29, 2026

At a glance

Your game progress stays on your device. Apple processes purchases. Nearby multiplayer shares the information needed to play with your room. Camera access is optional, for scanning room codes.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy describes the WordRush iOS app and its support website, provided by Mohamad Zamini. For privacy questions, contact phoenixremote.support@gmail.com.

2. Information stored on your device

WordRush stores progress, saved rounds, game history, personal scores, word history, and settings locally. Hint balances, free-hint usage, and identifiers for fulfilled purchases are stored locally in the iOS Keychain to maintain balances and avoid crediting the same transaction twice. We do not operate a server that collects this gameplay information, and the app does not provide account-based or iCloud synchronization.

3. Purchases

Optional hint packs use Apple’s StoreKit in-app purchase system. Apple processes your payment. The app receives product and verified transaction information needed to deliver credits. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple handles purchase-related information under its Privacy Policy.

4. Nearby multiplayer

When you host or join a room, your chosen player name and session information are shared with nearby participating devices. During a match, devices exchange the word deck, gameplay actions, scores, and standings. This enables discovery, fair gameplay, and rankings. Connections use Apple’s MultipeerConnectivity framework with encryption required. Other players can see your player name and match results, so use a nickname rather than personal information. Multiplayer does not use a developer-operated matchmaking server.

5. Camera and permissions

Camera access is requested only for the optional room QR scanner. Images are processed on the device to read the room code; the app does not record, save, or upload camera images. You may join manually without camera permission. Local Network permission supports nearby multiplayer. You can revoke these permissions in iOS Settings; related features may then be unavailable.

6. Support messages and sharing

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information and attachments you choose to send. We use these to respond, troubleshoot, and resolve your request. Support email is handled through Gmail, subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. Do not send passwords or payment card details.

If you use an iOS share action, the content you select goes to the recipient or service you choose. That service’s own privacy practices apply.

7. Website hosting

This support website is hosted by GitHub Pages. We do not add advertising, analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or cookies to these pages. GitHub may process technical information such as your IP address and request details to operate and secure hosting, under the GitHub Privacy Statement.

8. Data use, retention, and your choices

We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Information voluntarily sent to support is kept only as long as reasonably needed to resolve requests, handle related follow-up, and meet applicable legal obligations. Email us to request access, correction, or deletion of support information. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, obtain a copy of your information, or contact your local privacy authority.

We cannot remotely access or delete game data held only on your device. Deleting the app removes its ordinary local app data; Keychain records may remain after uninstalling. Purchase records held by Apple are managed by Apple. Contact support for help with local data questions before deleting or reinstalling the app.

9. Children’s privacy

The app does not require a name, email address, or account for solo play. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through support. If you believe a child has sent personal information, contact us so we can address it and delete it as appropriate. Children should use a nickname in nearby multiplayer and ask a parent or guardian before contacting support or making purchases.

10. Security and third-party services

WordRush uses iOS storage protections and encrypted nearby connections. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Apple, GitHub, and the email services involved in a support request may process information in countries other than your own under their respective policies.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the app or its information practices change. The effective date above will identify the latest version. For questions or privacy requests, email phoenixremote.support@gmail.com.
